Janice Caplan
Janice’s recent achievements have included working on a "Developing potential" project and designing new coaching processes that operate using assessments and feedback. She has developed an innovative Peer Review programme for directors, which aligns their feedback with the organization’s employee engagement survey. She has also assisted a start-up organization with their strategy development, using interviewing and workshop-based approaches. She says that the corporate focus has shifted in the course of her career away from training towards holistic learning. She believes strongly in the value of self-awareness and feedback as the key to realising potential.

Janice's career has had a deeply international flavour. Having studied Italian and French prior to moving into HR, she worked for Italian airline Alitalia and US company International Harvester before rising to become head of training and development at City firm Midland Montagu, taking a master's degree in HR studies along the way.

An advocate of the importance of language skills in business, Janice's fluent French and Italian enables her to work regularly in those countries and on global projects.

Janice is a Chartered Companion of the CIPD, is qualified to levels A and B with the British Psychological Society, and is a Chartered Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Her previous publications include "Coaching for the Future: How Smart Companies Use Coaching and Mentoring." (CIPD, 2003)

Janice is also open to speaking, lecturing, researching or writing on talent management, employee engagement, leadership, or the role of HR.
